Today, I want to share a few things. First, I’d like to wish everyone a wonderful International Women’s Day. It is a “global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.” For those of you that want to learn more about International Women’s Day here is a link with plenty of information: http://www.internationalwomensday.com
I’d also like to post UN Women Executive Director Michelle Bachelet’s message for Women’s Day 2013 about what still remains to be done to protect women throughout the world.
And lastly, as usual, my quote for today:
“Well behaved women seldom make history.” ~Laurel Thatcher Ulrich
(Other’s have been credited with a version of this quote: “Well behaved women rarely make history,” such as Marilyn Monroe and Eleanor Roosevelt.)
And again, Happy International Women’s Day! Let us celebrate how far we have come and let us all (men and women) come together to work towards a society that values men and women equally.
